Seven products I’ve been reaching for on repeat eight weeks postpartum with baby #3.

Postpartum, The Third Time Around

Ten weeks into postpartum with my third baby, I’ve realized how much my approach to this season has changed. The first time around, I think I felt more pressure to get back to myself. This time, I’m much more comfortable letting postpartum be what it is. My routines are simpler, my expectations are lower, and the small things that make me feel cared for, put together, or just a little more human have taken on a whole new meaning.

The Little Rituals

So much of postpartum is focused on taking care of the baby. I’ve found that the smallest rituals for myself have mattered more than I expected, whether that’s taking a shower, putting oil on my face before bed, or swiping on a little makeup before school drop-off.

Products I Don’t Have to Overthink

One of the more surreal parts of going through postpartum while building Sorette is that so many of the products I’m using every day are products our team has spent months getting to know. We look beyond the front of the label at ingredients, materials, sourcing, manufacturing and testing, depending on the category. As a mom, I love knowing that the homework has already been done.

What I’m Actually Using Postpartum

These are the products currently on repeat in our house. Some are tiny parts of my own routine, others are baby essentials, but all of them have made this very full season feel a little easier.

Why These Seven Are on Repeat

At this stage, I know pretty quickly which products are going to become staples. I want things that are easy, effective, and that I genuinely look forward to using. These seven have each found a place in our everyday routine—for very different reasons.

TRUE BOTANICALS — MINDFUL MAMA BELLY + BODY OIL

This one is especially meaningful because I was seven months pregnant when we finalized the product with the True Botanicals team. It became part of my nightly ritual during pregnancy and I’ve kept it going postpartum. After a shower, it’s one small thing I do before bed that feels entirely for me.

LE PRUNIER — PLUM BEAUTY OIL

The GOAT. Truly. My skincare routine is about as simple as it gets right now, and a few drops of this incredibly nourishing oil are often the entire thing. My skin drinks it up and I’m done.

KORA ORGANICS — RENEWING HAND + BODY WASH

The postpartum urge to shower and just feel CLEAN is very real. A shower has become one of my favorite resets of the day, and this makes even a quick one feel a little more luxurious.

DOCTOR ROGERS — RESTORE HEALING BALM

This has lived within arm’s reach since George was born. I love anything that can do more than one job right now, and I reach for this constantly for lips, cuticles, dry skin—really anything that needs it.

WELL PEOPLE POUTLOVE + DAYGLEAMER

Most days, I have approximately two minutes to get ready. A little Well People and Poutlove Lip Balm make me feel infinitely more human before school drop-off, a Zoom call, or getting out of the house. Right now, two minutes is plenty.

COTERIE — DIAPERS + WIPES

By baby number three, I know exactly what I want in a diaper. Coterie is one of those things I simply don’t think twice about anymore—which might be the highest compliment I can give a baby product. They work for us, I feel good about using them on George, and they’re everywhere in our house.

BOBBIE — ORGANIC INFANT FORMULA

I’ve combo fed all three of my babies, and I’m so grateful to have a formula I truly trust to lean on. Having now seen Bobbie through a completely different lens through Sorette—how the product is formulated, sourced, manufactured and tested—makes making baby a bottle feel particularly full-circle.

What I’m Learning Ten Weeks In

Postpartum can be all-consuming, especially in those first few months. So much of your attention naturally goes toward taking care of this tiny new person. This time around, I’ve tried to remember that the little things I do for myself count too.

Right now, I don’t need more choices or more complicated routines. I want products that are easy, effective, and that I can feel genuinely good about reaching for again and again.

One of the unexpected parts of building Sorette while growing my own family has been getting to experience our work from both sides. I spend my days thinking about ingredients, materials, sourcing, manufacturing, testing, and all of the details behind the products we bring into our homes. Then I close my laptop and I’m just a mom using those same products on myself and my baby.
